Angela Rogers Action Figure

Creative Director, Now in Plastic

I turned myself into an action figure. Not for marketing. Mostly just to see if I could.

It started as a test. I wanted to see what AI could do with the brand identity I built at Praecipio and how it would interpret me based on everything I’d already trained it to recognize. From this, you get the boxed-up version of me in head-to-toe black, standing next to a cat, a coffee mug, a sketch journal, and headphones. Weirdly, completely accurate.

Why these accessories?

  • The cat: I’m a cat foster, so there are always cats in the house. They basically run my home office.
  • The coffee mug: Pretty standard. Usually full of something that’s still hot if you’re lucky.
  • The sketch journal: Where I rough out ideas before they get turned into slides or systems.
  • The headphones: Less for music, more for blocking out the noise.

I pushed the AI to get it to actually reflect me, not just physically, but the vibe, the creative environment, the stuff that makes the work work.

The brand system we built at Praecipio this past year wasn’t a solo job. Our Marketing team deserves a callout; they’re sharp, collaborative, and care about doing things right. We worked together to build a brand that separated us from the sea of silver and blue. And we did it fast, clean, and with just the right amount of chaos.

Limited Edition Release

So yeah, I made myself into an action figure. And weirdly, it’s one of the most accurate portraits of my role I’ve seen.

It’s a reminder that design should have a point of view. That branding isn’t decoration. And that sometimes, the best way to capture a moment in your career is to turn it into something totally ridiculous and oddly perfect.

Anyway, she now sits on my metaphorical shelf. Just staring. Judging… at least 89% judging. Like a true creative.
